Hi! Here’s a little more about me.
I started my public school teaching career in 1997 at Kearns Junior High where I taught 8th grade language arts and 7th grade reading. My son William and I both came to AMES when the school opened in 2003–he as a 10th grade student and I as a language arts and chess teacher. We both recognize how fortunate we were to find our way to AMES. William graduated from AMES in 2006 and is currently attending Westminster College.
My younger son, James, cames to AMES in ninth grade and will graduate in 2008.
I often tell my students that I feel extremely lucky to be able to work at a job I love. I actually get happy on my way to work every day; how many people can say that? Every day I get to laugh. I teach and learn with the most fascinating people–people who read, write, and think.
